It has no motor and transmission. Fairly heavy car to push around.

If you're looking for a project, you've found one!

It would be cool if more of those Series I cars were saved

Cheers

Strange, the front is S1 and the rear looks S2. S2 bumper(no rego plate light). And plinth with rego plate lights on boot lid.

my thoughts are:

1) it is NOT a XJ-12, or a XJ-6, or a XJ with a V8 because it has no engine. Zero, Nada.
it is an old body, nothing else. Minor rust bubbles? Rust is never "minor", and certainly NOT in a Jaguar.

who knows why it is being sold like that, perhaps there were issues with the car when it had an engine? How would you know?

2) never buy an old car sight unseen without inspecting in person, you will always be dissapointed if not ripped off. If you can't inspect the car while it is on a lift, Caveat Emptor ! ( BUYER BEWARE ).

The first listing only got $1,026.00 dollars bid. Now he's trying again.

Hey, just call the guy and tell him: "I'll give you $600.00 for it, as is, where is, take it or leave it". Or walk away !

Pluses and a negative:

1. it was lumped and can be somewhat easily relumped.

2. It is CA smog exempt.

3. It is a snow country car with admitted rust issues.

4. White is so boring.

5. It is too far from CA.

6. Owner is not realistic as to a non running car, of what ever specie.
