Default 1983 XJ6 Power Steering Fluid

Hello,

Does anyone know what is the recommended power steering fluid for an 83’ Series 3 Vanden Plas?

Thanks in advance,

Isaac

Use ATF...automatic transmission fluid.

Doesn't need to be special. Ordinary Type F or Dexron III is fine

go to Walmart or any auto parts store and buy Power Steering Fluid with Stop Leak, any brand, they're all the same.

That's all what you said about going to Walmart and just getting some stop Leak type power steering fluid. But that was after the fact that my girlfriend went to AutoZone and he recommended this for her have you heard of this or do you know if this will work

it will work but it might leak again since the label does not say "with stop leak".

There is a Brand of products called "LUCAS" that promises to stop engine and transmission oil leaks.
Check with Autozone to see if they have one for power steering leaks.
