I am trying to find the best place to find both front mufflers for an 85 XJ6 VDP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't that where we are?

if one isn't insistent on originality for concours reasons or just personal choice, any muffler shop can fit a pair of compatible units that will do just as good or better.

I hesitate to recommend a used pair, but, it could be a reasonable choice. David Boger at Everydayxj! He might even have a pair of NOS units!!

A PO had small glass packs installed in the valence of my car in lieu of the resonators.
Works just fine.
A pair of twin straight pipes... Naah, just dreaming of critters in my past.
