1986 XJ6 Series 3 Accelerator Cable Stuck
Hello
please I have recently notice my car has a hard acceleration, I realized the accelerator wire is stuck and not freely moving.
I have today removed to try and service it. I have used anti-rust lubricant spray and have it move a little bit and not so much free.
Is there any way I can make it extra free to use again?

Mebbe!
1. I think it has a liner/ if damaged, it ay be beond repair.
2. Some have been damaged by a poor ground. teh current finds the cable as a path.
3. With luck, pull the cable from the sheath. Lubricate it wot a grease graphite mixture.
as used in speedometer cables in olden days.
4. a local shop might have a genric cable that can be adoptd. .

I may check the local used spare parts shop if I can have a right replacement, if that fails, then I will have to buy from David of everydayXJ
