I have been following the thread as I am having similar problems with my 1985 XJ6. I will be checking relays this weekend because I am not sure were Im losing power. I know that I dont have injector pulse, nor do I have power down on the silver box. What did you mean by bump sw kept tripping?

"Bump switch" = inertia switch. Or so I presume. Sometimes called a crash switch. It is triggered when the car suffers xxx-force impact.

Unless the link from the coil to the L-Jetronic ECU is present and correct, the ECU will not generate a pulse to the injectors. I think it is a white wire, but it's a long time since I owned my Series 3.
