1990 4.0 no injector power and no pulse
So I have a 1990 xj it is getting spark and fuel to the fuel rail but it is not getting through the injectors I do not know a whole lot about Jag but I am ready to learn. it seems to be on the electrical side of thing it is not getting + power to the injectors nor is it getting a - pulse. I have checked the white wire off the coil it seems fine as do the earth connections near the water neck. any ideals would be appreciated.... oh yah this is Us left hand drive car SAJHY1743LC5XXXXX

1990 VDP ECU to fuel injector schematic
Hi 5clinks and welcome to the Forum.
Tell us more about your car. Was it running and just quit? Did you buy it in a non-running condition?
Did you use a NOID tester to determine there is no f.i. signal?
Do you have a Haynes? If not you should get one from eBay or an Internet bookstore. In our case it is worth the money.
1st suggestions:
1. Check to see if your inertia switch has been tripped. I can see this happening if the car has been towed, but ...
2. Did you post you are getting spark at the plugs? If so your amplifier is working.
3. Get an assistant and place them at the fuel pump which is under the car and in front of the tank. Have him or her hold their hand on the pump and tell them to feel for the vibration of the pump when running. Turn the ignition key to on (but don't crank). The pump should come on and then quit. Now turn the key to crank and if the engine management ECU receives a crank or run signal, the pump should come back on.
4. The following is a schematic of the wiring between the engine management ECU and the fuel injectors for a 1990 VDP.
Good Hunting and keep us informed.

- Wire KB is pink with black tracer and KU is pink with blue tracer.
- LIS6 and LIS8 are harness connectors you will have to trace back from the fuel injectors to find
- LI58 is a 25-way AMP socket (black) located driver footwell/ engine management ECU
