I just got my car back from a mechanic who apparently changed the hanger bearing . The vibration is still there in fact I think its worse now . I was going up a steep hill in first gear slow and it vibrated the whole distance. It feels like a hanger bearing is gone . So I jacked up the car and looked at my new bearing in which was just installed . Gently moving it with my hand there was about 1/4 inch play [loose] . I called the mechanic up and he said that it is normal to have this play. For some reason I dont believe him. Has anyone out there ever seen a new hanger bearing and is this true about the play?
