1990 XJ6 Idles Rough
Aloha!
I have a 1990 XJ6 with 59k original miles and it seems to run well but at idle is rough..
I've looked for scanner tools with no success and i also notice that the check engine light comes on once in a while?
How can i troubleshoot this?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You need to post in the XJ40 forum.
Confusingly, Jaguar stopped making the XJ Series 3 six-cylinder cars in 1986, when the XJ40 came out, and got to the US as Model Year 87. However, the V12s carried on with the old bodyshell, because the V12 wouldn't fit the XJ40 bodies. Thats why the forum title shows 1968-1992. In 1992 Jaguar finally completed the bodyshell mods that allowed the V12 to fit the XJ40 engine compartment. They also increased the engine to 6 litres from the old 5.3 litres
