I'm considering doing a triple carb swap on my 84 4.2 would the inlet manifold from a earlier 3.8 fit directly to the 4.2 head?

 

It should work straight-up because the intake manifold gasket has not changed over the years. i have thought about switching to carbs on my series 3 , but I do not want to loose the 20 MPG that the injection gives me.

 

What kind of carbs would one use for that (opposite of) modification?

I'm contemplating triple 45 DCOE Webers almost as much for aesthetics as function and I'm old and they seem cool.
But I still have the M90 super charger looking for a home so kinda of torn
