Default '86 Water Pump: Studs Again!

I got the four new studs I ordered, and they have the wrong thread. The '86 needs a 5/16-24 thread on each end. The new ones have a more coarse thread, they may even be metric, but they are remarkably similar to the originals in appearance. Part number TE 108031 J on the packages.
These 4 studs hold the fan on the water pump.
If anyone has 3 or 4 used ones in good condition, I will buy them if we can come to terms. I have one good one out of my old pump.

Your local auto parts or hardware store should have some that'll work. They'll probably be coarse thread on one end and fine thread on the other but the worse that can happen is buying 4 new nuts to go with the coarse threaded end

Cheers

Thanks, Doug, sometimes I worry about myself. I had four of those studs already. I turned them around and, although it was a very fiddly job, I got the fan back on this evening. I think I have it completely reassembled. I put some power steering fluid in (I changed both hoses) and about 2/3 gallon of Zerex G-05, will get more tomorrow.
Whew!
