Default 87' Jaguar XJ6

the engine is shot , so i was just wondering what other alternatives besides a jaguar engine can i put in there .

The Lamboghini 5.0 V-12 would be a smooth running choice, also the 3-cylinder 71-series Detroit for lots of torque!

The more modern AJ16 Jaguar straight six is becoming a popular retro fit. Much more common is a Chevy V8. Google Johns Cars or Jaguar Specialties

My 76 xj12 has the 350 chevy conversion kit. It fits really nice under the hood, and everything stays functional. What little I was able to drive it so far(just purchased sat), it seems to ride really nice, no handling or steering issues, and has plentybof power
