i have an 89 jaguar vandenplaz i changed the head gasket i need help with the timing i thought i had it timed but it just pops in the intake well trying to start like its wrong and it sounds like it has little compression help!!!! please

 

Thats not very sound advise, if the cam timing is off you will have low compresson just from that. Although you can do a leak-down test as long as the valves are closed. Your ignition or cam timing is def off, sorry I dont have the procedure in front of me but if the ignition is off and not the cam then you need to retard it.
