97xj6 idle speed problem

when i start the car it idles at 6500 rpm"s and after driving for a short time after reaching normal temperature the idle speed reaches anywhere form 8000 to 15000 rpm"s. any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think your numbers have an extra zero on them. No bother. Start with cleaning the throttle body. Take it off the car and do it thoroughly.
