Default Ac filter drier

Does my 1982 XJ6 use an o ring drier, or the flange? I am ordering parts and there are both options listed. My compressor makes noise and smokes and stinks. I want to replace it with a remanufactured unit and I have been told to do the drier also if I am doing the compressor. I also need the expansion valve.....

Most 82 models are the o-ring type.

Check to see if it's a long tube at the front of the radiator or more bottle shaped.

The expansion valve is easy:
