Default After market mufflers needed/1976 xjc

I'm in need of a good source for an after market muffler for my 1976 xjc, something with a little rumble to it? Any ideas out there? Email me at [email]markparrish76@yahoo.com[/email
. We need to find a muffler 6" by no more than 24" with a 1.75" in and out

The only thing I found to be commonly available is a Thrush 17703. I know they fit well enough because I have a set installed in my coupe. I cut off the curved piece from the OE muffler and lap welded it to the Thrush muffler. Good fit, and it's less quiet than the OE muffler but still quiet enough.

Thrush® Turbo Muffler - Offset / Offset - Thrush® Exhaust P/N: 17703 - Thrush® Exhaust, Making Hot Rods Hotter Since 1966?

We have 24" glasspaks on our XJ12C.......

Works pretty well. They have a bit of rumble but nothing droning at high speed.

I took all four mufflers off my '86, straight thru exe for the cat is still in place. Sounds pretty good, still not loud and cops wouldn't give it a second thought. Burbles and pops a little on deceleration, which I like ...sounds a little like an xke. But since it doesn't live up to "pace" either I figured losing a little "grace" to a more sporting sound wouldn't really hurt.
