Default Airconditioner switch

I have changed my aircon fan switch in my series 3 as it wont run on low. The second switch makes no difference. Aircon fan runs well on auto and high, not low. Any ideas?

Could be LO part of AC fan relay or LO speed portion of resistor. Also are you sure it's not working in low as it can be pretty quiet.

Nothing happens on low fan. All other modes work. Not sure if fan will drop to low on auto as it is so hot here it is always on high. Mine is a 82 model

Smile Problem solved

Problem solved. For all you non technical people out there like me it was a simple problem. The relay box for the fan is easily opened and very accessible. Centre console LH side panel, under the air vent . Easily checked with a multimeter and you visually track where the wires go to test. Mine had one broken wire to one of the coils. Drop of solder and all fixed. Often we are scared of the problems and it only takes a look and a little advice where to look. Mine is a 82 series 3 and all the coils (4) were in the one relay. Very pleased with myself. Thanks all you jag godfathers for the help. Invaluable
