Default Alternator location

Ok so my battery light stays on even when the voltage is reading normal, I cleaned the battery terminals and the connectors. I want to check the connections to the alternator but cant find it lol sounds silly but is it underneath the block? Also, can anyone tell me the best way to take the throttle body out so I can clean it? Was going to take out today but I seen two hoses connected and also got confused with the cable attatched to it and didn't want to mess with it until I had input

Alternator. Under the LH side of the engine, under the a/c compressor and its monster bracket. Best accessed from UNDER the car with a good dose of humour tucked away.

Throttle body, I leave them intact and use a white rag liberally soaked in solvent and take my time.

Very painful to get to it. It has to be from under the car as mentioned above, under the a/c compressor. Depending on the condition of the engine, it will most likely be oil soaked.

First you need to remove the Alternator BELT,

then you need to raise the front of the car and place jackstands under the suspension wishbones/lower control arms, for your own protection when working under the car.

these cars weigh almost 3,800 pounds, you need to make sure it will not move or fall on you. Transmission in PARK, Emergency Brake fully engaged, and chocks on the rear tires.

Once raised, then you need to remove the Splash Guard, then you need to undo the Sway Bar Links to be able to move the sway bar up and down and slide the alternator through the little space available.

removing the alternator Bolts is a p.i.t.a. Take your time.
