Default Anyone know where to source XJ6 S3 exhaust tips?

Hello Everybody,

Does anyone know where to source XJ6 series 3 exhaust tips? I'm looking for the original kind with rolled tip-ends. I currently have one OG and the other an aftermarket straight cut.

Thanks!

This will be difficult as obviously they're not made any more. Try an internet search.

Welsh Jaguar still has 'em....or at least still lists them on their webpage.

These will almost certainly be reproductions which means quality can vary from rotten to superb or anything inbetween. I'd ask for pics before buying.

A few year ago a pal of mine bought some reproductions. Can't remember the source. The quality was fine but the rolled portion wasn't quite right. A bit too bulbous. Still looked nice, though.

Cheers

@Lec

I ordered a set about a month ago from Jagbits. Part number is CAC4332. The site is still showing them as available

The quality was excellent.... I would recommend them.

Good to know.

Were those bona-fide Jaguar-labeled replacements or aftermarket?

Cheers

Hi Doug

I'm pretty sure they were in bags with the usual Jaguar OEM labels......so I assumed so

The key feature, apart from the swan-neck shape, is the rolled ends. I have seen them with just the plain tube-end and they look awful.

@Fraser

Consider my ends rolled :-)

Digressing a bit but, would you just look at the condition of this 30 year old original rear valence...... gotta love dry state cars......

Maybe the US cars were different, but I remember mine stuck out further and were actually slightly beyond the bumper. I see you have the correct securing clamps with the little screw with a point on it. Not may of these survive the years !

I think the tips are the same. 'Tis the USA/Federal bumpers that stick out about 3" more than the UK/Euro/ROW type.

SNG Barratt could supply new ones when I ordered some month ago.
These are apparently a batch of new manufacture (CAC4332) and excellent quality/finish.

A pair of these are not cheap (some GBP90 incl postage and original style clamps) but exactly the part. Alex Dent and Liam Jones at that dealer were helpful in emails.
