remade the seat backings (which is actually rather fun) but the brace-bracket that links into the seat body doesn't seem right, doesnt sit level and leaves a gap up the side of the seat so the plugs don't reach the frame. what am i missing in the scheme of things? is something old or bent in some way, well i guess it cant be as the same issue on both sides.sure i dont have this issue last time. any thoughts? shouldnt the adjuster thing sit exactly in he centre of the round cut out on the brace and not pinned to the top edge of the circle? this looks ok i am guessing...
The top of the seat back card slides up under the upholstery at the top of the seat. The frame is designed for it, you just have to look closely. When you have it positioned correctly, everything will line up.
the back is seated up under the ridge as you suggest, the brace at the bottom on each seat in the centre by the console appears correct but the outer seat brackets on each side do not. i wondered if the shape of the timber back had been lost over time in reproduction. seems odd.
