Had to reset my Oxygen sensor light so I thought I'd grab a couple quick pics of the goodies behind the trim panel on the forward bulkhead.....just in case anyone was wondering what's hiding there
This is the Intervalometer. It triggers the Oxygen Sensor warning light to illuminate at 30,000 mile intervals. It is reset by pushing a little button with something pointy, in this case a small screwdriver
Prior to the introduction of electric speedometers (circa 1982-83) the Intervalometer operated off the speedometer cables and was mounted in the engine bay near the firewall
Here's the sunroof motor and the Fuel Interface Unit...black box with red label. The FIU takes fuel injector operating info from the ECU and translates it into some sort of signal that the trip computer uses to calculate fuel economy. At the top right is one of the air vents to the boot. When the vent flaps lose their foam padding they make the infamous 'cowbell' noise when they close
These are the bulb failure units for the rear lamps. Also visible are the inline fuses for the rear lamps
Last but not least the the ECU for the fuel injection system
None of this anything new to most here but I thought someone who hasn't done much exploring might find them interesting
the only bit I don't see is the Manual Sunroof Motor Crank.
But I see the squared hole where mine is pushed into. The hole is shown in the picture of the Bulb Failure Units, right above the units. I have a second crank in the Tool kit. No big deal I guess, but if your sunroof motor fails in the open position, (they rarely fail), it makes sense to have ready access to the motor crank near the motor.
