Default Central Locking locks but won't unlock on one door

Hi Team

My central locking works well, except for the passengers front door that locks, but won't unlock.

Do I need a new actuator???

Cheers

Funny you say that,I have the exact same problem.

Might be a location thing, mine came from your part of the world.

Might be a faulty actuator/motor, yes.

But.....first....

Remove the door trim panel and lubricate all the lock linkages and the latch itself. A surprising number of fussy central locking systems are brought back to life this way

If the innards of the latch look especially gunky, clean them first with WD40 or aerosol brake wash...then follow up with your favorite aerosol lubricant.

Cheers
DD

I'll second Doug's theory. Did the same and they've worked perfectly since!

Default Agreed

I took all my door panels off. Gave every lock a good cleaning and lubricant and all work great now.
