Charcoal canister delete or other remedy
Hi all.
I have another thread up at the moment but as this is a different issue entirely i figured id make a new thread.
to explain this story its important to note my RH fender has been replaced after a minor fender bender years ago.
the only issue this has come with is some premature rust and now issues with the charcoal canister.
somehow the bracket got bent and hit my tire while driving. pretty much everything is fine except the bracket the canister sat it that is totally gone ( fallen apart form rust the tire hitting it was the final nail)
anyways i now have no way to mount this canister in the fender. im not a fan of leaving these lines open as i know fuel travels through them.
is there any way to delete this system entirely? or any makeshift brackets one can think of?

Hi,
contact www.everydayxj.com for a used canister bracket.
Best to leave the fuel vapor ventilation system in place.

Jose is right about keeping everything in place, because, I don't know about New York, but California REQUIRES the original evap system be *Present* even if it doesn't work.

it should be obvious, every hose is a different diameter, so they only fit one port of the canister.
**Eliminate the plastic Check Valve located before the canister if you are getting a "wooossshh" vapor escape when you open the gas cap. Instead use a thru-connector available at auto parts stores that connects different diameter hoses.
