compressor question

i have a new compressor, oem part number JAG000405, does anyone know what it fits? i was told it fit late 70's to around 85. possibly parting with it. any help would be great. thanks

if you post a picture of the side and another of the rear, I can tell you if it's the GM A6 compressor used in the 1980-1987 XJ-6.

i did some research and i think your right on with it being an A6. it is the Harrison 1131376. heres a pic i think will help. thanks

it's the GM A6.those are available new at any auto parts, not expensive if you shop around.Rebuilt can be had for half. If they stick a Jaguar part number on it, people pay 10 times the price! amazing!
