Default Corvette wheels on series 3??

I am wanting a nice set of wheels for my 86 xj6, I really like the 17 inch fourth gen corvette wheels. The lug pattern is the same but they are 9.5 inches wide. Has anyone used these before? Would they be a possible option or should I look for another wheel?

Probably too wide but I have no direct experience using them.

Whichever wheel you choose it's the center hole that will probably pose a problem....as the Jag hubs are bigger than typical. Often the center hole can be bored out, though

Yeah i figured they would be wide as the widest ive seen people using are 8 inch. I just cant remember the model of the bmw wheels i was originally going to use. Do you happen to know of any other 17 inch wheels that do work on these series 3's?

I've seen pics of Ser III XJ sedans with 17x8 wheel from a 1995-97 XJR

Doug is correct, Jaguar hub diameter is 73.9mm and most early ('60's, '70's, '80's) Chevy full size cars are 70.3. Alloy wheels shouldn't pose a problem in boring them out, stamped steel wheels might be harder.
