Heading to a cruise in this afternoon..., sort of a car show, but more of a gathering...

Beautiful car! Wife and I went for a 20 mile ride this morning in our 1987 to get it fully exercised. Old cars like old people need exercise. Get out there and have fun but stay safe.

Very nice Darren! Have you done anything to adjust your front ride height since the swap? I have heard that the Chevy engine is quite a bit lighter than the original and it looks like your front is a little higher than others I've seen. I'm trying to get an idea of how mine will sit. I removed the two 1/8" spacers in the springs and lowered the spring pan 1/4". I've read that 1/8" at the springs is about 5/16" at the spindle, making mine a total of 1 1/4" lower. I would like the reveal on both ends to be like your rear reveal.

Thanks, Darren!!

tis a gazillion + degrees around here. I am hibernating... Hot yesterday, supposed to be hotter today.

My car was a bit front end droopy when XK poweredd. I liked it. It roe a bit with the LT1. I measured it. Now at stock ride heighth. so, i did not mess with spacers...

It nheeds,as do I, some excercise...

Thanks Darren, that gives me a good idea of what mine would look like without removing the spacers or lowering the pan. Maybe it will turn out just where I want it.

I used a set of new front springs from King in Australia, #KJFL-01 (1" lower than stock) as my original springs where broken anyway. Seems to just about be perfect with the weight of the aluminum 5.7L LS1.

Beautiful looking XJ6.

Why would you want to drive anything else?

I don’t want to drive anything else, but driving it to work is out of question being as I have a work van
:} so she sits in garage all week gathering dust and gets driven on weekends! Mind you gas prices can. Dictate how much one drives a fun car! She is tuned for 93 octane, so it cost me 54 dollars last weekend to buy 16 gallons of gas....

Another cruise in/show this afternoon! All washed and waxed ready to go, now I just have to wash and wax myself, looking a bit grubby! More pics after the show

Two:

1. The late 30's Buick or Olds behind the shortie bug...

2. The very nice A coupe "Hot Rod:/// would bve better with a full race
Mercury Flat head...
