I haven't actually looked into it although I imagine they will be hard to find because every car I know of has factory cruise control.
I wouldn't think under those conditions there would be a market for add-ons.
Later I might look into it though, but not right now. We're already virtually rebuilding the whole car, having spent enough money we've bought it all over again.

Thanks for the diagram. I have similar ones, but, I can never resist adding to my Jaguar lore!!
Somewhere out there, after market kits new or used or NOS. Pretty slick. I added a lot of "gadgets" to my "Plain Jane" 79 IHC Scout II. One was CC. It shared a "signal generator" with the after market trip computer I installed. A magnet wired to the drive shaft and a pickup on a bracket nearby. And, the bellows that pulled the throttle was a tin can ala brake booster. No leak issue. The connection wasn infin itely adjustable ball type chain.
If on really wanted to, one could rob a later GM of it's CC. They freature an electronic throttle pull ala "by wire, sorta". slick little units.
I've never reconnected the cc in the Jaguar. Actually, I am using the brake pedal interrupt as the torque converter release!!
Elinor. if you are interested, loo9k and see if there two similar switches behind the brake pedal. they look alike, but function exactly opposite. The other CC interrupt is on the shift tower. a micro switch la starter interrupt.
Still a bit puzzled over my geometry lesson on shim adjustment for upper control arms!!

Daff,
I have 2 of those units, one i fitted to my S2 & the other in my Ford XB, i've had the unit in my XB since 1996. the one pictured i have that control in my XB, the same unit but a slimline control in my S2 jag. wouldn't drive without one, went to Melbourne xmas 13/14, perfect for the Hume H/way.
These units were make in Sydney early to late 90's, the type you have is the pre efi setup, once in a while you need to clean the actuator valve in case of dust build up so it won't jam on..........i'd be interested in comparing where it was set up........tom
PS. Daff, i'm going for a drive with the club today to warragamba dam, about time the rain slowed up.
