Diagnose brake problem
Best way to determine what parts are bad in brake system? 1989 XJ6, very hard brake pedal, but no brakes. Not very familiar with brake system, don't want to buy accumulator if not necessary, etc? Anybody have a troubleshooting method, or a primer on Jaguar brake system? Thanks for any help

I would repost this on the XJ40 section, coz that is what you got.
The accumulator (bomb) is the most likely an these old systems. It is a service replacement item, so if unknown history, and hard pedal, that would be the first of maybe many things to replace.
