your car has 2 fuel pumps, because it is a Series 2. (1973-1979)

the Series 3 XJ-6 (1980-1987) has one fuel pump only.

what I hear is that the shortcut method "T" causes other issues. So I would stick with the original setup and fix whatever needs fixing. But that is just me.

Yeah, base line can usually be good. "Ghetto" can serve a temporary fix. Not the best.
But, as time goes by, up dating can be even better than base.


Roger Mabry has "updated" the tank change system quite nicely.


So far, knock on wood, my head, the fuel selection system in my car works just as it left Brownslane.

Can you link me to the Roger Mabry "upgrade" - the only threads I was able to find were related to a system to support a Chevy 350 EFI upgrade.
