faulty temperature sensor?
hi, my xjs 3.6 1984 is very poor to start. Once it starts up I have to keep my foot on the throttle for 1-2 minutes until the engine warms up. if i don't do this it just cuts out. Is this likely to be a problem with the temperature sensor?
hi,
this forum is for the XJ-6 up to 1987. you have an XJ-S. Check the forum listing at the top of the page and look for the XJ-S forum that corresponds to your year.
I think it could be either the Cold Start Injector or the Cooolant Temp Sensor, (not the coolant temp SENDER), but I'm not familiar with the 3.6 engine or the European components of that engine. You'll get better help at the XJ-S forum.
