Default Front turn-signal wiring harness question..

What's the color pattern of the wiring harnesses for the front turn signal/parking lamps? I'm customizing a fixture that will have dedicated parking lights in them rather than have both functions operate on the same bulb, so I need to divide responsibilities.

Download the S57 Wiring Guide from the "how to" sticky thread at the top of this section. It shows all the wiring and colors

that's easy!! there are three wires, Black, Green and Red. Green for the Turn Signals, Red for the Parking lights, Black is Ground.

All you need is to tap the black Ground wire to separate it into two single filament bulbs.

Thanks. I did a full LED switchover and ended up with two issues, I didn't plan for. One was my green indicator lights went out on the dash, so I'm going to either try the resistor thing again, or hide a pair of dummy fixtures with blackout bulbs in the bumper.

The other was that it's hard to tell, when my parking lights are on, that I've activated the front indicators. Not enough difference between "single-filament" output and "double-filament" output on those LED bulbs. So I bought a set of used signal housings and I'm going to tap in a second light socket and have a lower-powered parking light bulb installed.

yes I've heard of the problems with LEDs, but I'm still on filament bulbs so I haven't messed with LEDs.
