Had a crank no start issue last night after the car had ceased to proceed halfway up the driveway. After some help from neighbours got the car pushed in. I suspected a fuel issue. I decided to follow the simplest route, and with ignition on pressed the transfer tank button in. Lo and behold fuel pump noise audible (which had not been the case). Into the boot....and I find a facet fuel pump on the left...and the origonal su pump on the right. The facet pump is the one not working.
Questions: does the rh drivers pump work on the drivers rh tank?
Should I just replace this little facet pump? I do have a series one in the driveway I can pinch a pump from...
Ive checked connections on the fuel pump relay on the bulkhead and cleaned them up a bit.
One had a single pump, near the antenna motor, with a plumbing and valve fiasco under the spare wheel. Did its job well, no issues.
Other one had internal pumps, 76 Daimler, and I use VK Commodore EFI LIFT PUMPS in there. Years ago, maybe not available these days.
That Daimler operated each pump related to the dash switch, and no plumbing fiasco.
