Fuel Sending Unit Brand Quality?
Other than OEM, is there a difference in quality with the various fuel sending units available for the Series 3 XJ6? Seems like a pretty simply device, but thought I would ask before buying.
Eurospares. Looks anodized.
Original Equipment, not to be confused with OEM
Moss Motors. No brand given.
SNG Barratt. No brand given, just aftermarket and needs to be custom bent.

I went with Moss a RH and LH sender, came with new lock and seal... Went in without issue and read correctly within two needle widths.
Previously fussed with the bend to suit sender. After three attempts to get correct readings, gave up. If it was good on full tank, it was off on 0 to 1/4 tank.
Installed Moss units and ran tank down to last line before empty. Filled tank to see how many gallons needed until station fuel pump shut off. Then calculated both gallons and miles until empty.

Over the years (decades, really) I've replaced a few on my own cars and others. They've all been slightly inaccurate, either a bit too high or too low. All aftermarket but I can't remember brands or vendors
