Question Fuel vapour lock question

Hi, Jag-o-nomic said "tried turning ignition with selector in Reverse didn't fix it" to relieve an apparent fuel vapor lock. Can anyone tell me what this is all about?

fuel injected cars do not suffer from vapour lock. Look elsewhere.

Hi Iramphal,

By selecting reverse when 'starting' the engine, I was priming the fuel rail as in this instance the fuel pump runs yet the ignition won't fire because the wrong gear has been selected.

My reason for doing it this time was that it was a hot day and I had trouble restarting after a short park and dash.

I was trouble shooting possible fuel vaporization in the fuel rail.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Nigel
