Default Fuse#6 of xj12c

I have a 1975 xj12c.
I have a question about the fuse box.

Fuse #6 continued to short. So I cut one of the two green lines. Then the fuse stopped shorting.
According to the manual, there are many things that work with fuse #6. (I attach a picture of the fuse box and a manual.)What I haven't checked yet are battery cooling, screen washers, kick-down switches and solenoid valves.
Since my car has no battery cooling, I want to know how to check if the kick-down switch and the solenoid valve operate normally.and Is there anyone who can tell me about the green wire I cut?

I solved this problem. The screen washer motor had an electrical problem because of the washer fluid. So I replaced the screen washer motor.
