Hi All, I am installing an 89 XJS AJ6 Engine and manual Getrag 265 in my series 3. Have everything from the donor car and am looking for anyone who done this conversion and how they mounted the gearbox. From lying under the car without the engine/box installed yet I was fiddling with the XJS mount plate and wondering if you can use this , cut it to fit and drill two holes to line up in the existing series 3 mount holes (two holes look like they will line up? In doing this will the spring cup that attaches to the transmission then line up correctly with the spring on the XJS mount when engine/box is installed? TIA
