Default Goddess of the Hunt

I may have to change Nix's name to Dianna, Goddess of the Hunt.

Today I parked her in a safe place as usual, but when I came out I saw that SHE HAD CAUGHT A PRIUS!!

True, she was just sitting there when it stumbled by, so it must have been an especially stupid individual worthy of capture (you hafta give Darwin a chance!) because there were Plenty of parking places around, but it had to park next to Nix! And so it was only a catch of opportunity but out in the wilds a catch is a catch no matter how it's pulled off.

Later she caught another one while on the run! I didn't get a picture of that one though.

Prii (plural of Prius) seem to be multiplying around here, but that's how it is with prey animals; they breed freely. It's the predators' job to keep their numbers in check.

Nix has caught so many by now that she doesn't even try to eat them but only plays with them like the cat she is.

HA.

Prius for lunch, YUMMY.

I am convinced that the Jags must be magnetic, coz no matter where you park them for the safety of others, these others always end up in the striking range of those claws..

Yeah, those Prii and bretheren are getting numerous.

But, cats on the hunt startled me the other evening. A story on the news.
A fellow was on a popular hiking trail on the peninsula. Lo and behold, not far
from the trail a mountain lion and a deer were in a struggle. the buck trying to gore the cat, and the cat trying to get in a fatal bite. The cat won and had a great dinner. Other joggers just ran on by, oblivious to life in the real world. Sad, oh yeah....

Hi Elinor,

I had a bit of a catch today.

Returned to see that this lithe Aston Martin Rapide had sidled up for a chat.

Not seen in the photo are two spare parking spots out of shot to the right.

If they had kittens, I would definitely be happy to look after them.

Happy motoring.

Nigel
