Great new Jaguar IRS resource

Great new Jaguar IRS resource
My '71 Jag had been in an accident and had bent wishbones. They are hard
to measure accurately unless you have calipers that are large enough to measure 25 inches.
I took them to Hamilton Automotive Industries, Van Nuys, CA, to Curt Hamilton. No web site, but his phone 818.943.2323. He has been in the Jaguar IRS business since 1967, converting them primarily for use in hot rods. He can and does do anything you can think of with the IRS parts.
He rebuilds calipers to the finest specs and will have in stock any part you can think of for the Jaguar IRS. He does most any change you can think of and has done the later XJ40 stuff and plain old stock Jag rebuilds.
He put my wishbones on his jig and confirmed they were bent, drivers side +2MM toe out and passenger side +1MM toe out. This confirms the odd tire wear I was having and the measurements I was able to make with a tape.
He is able to straighten them by applying heat while being held in his jig and allowing them to cool. He cuts them off about 5 inches for the hot rodders and then reinforces them and adds gussets for strength so making stock
ones straight is not a problem.
I will now drop the IRS and reinstall the wishbones to complete the task and confirm all is well again with a trip to my local front end shop for another
checkup of the IRS settings.
