Default Have 30 days to get my XJ-6 running--help!

Hello all...I need to get my 85 XJ-6 V.P. running within 30 days or it's gone...I've had the injectors serviced, but I need the hard plastic seals that fit into the engine; they look like a little 'hat'...but every search I do, only shows seals for the injectors...I have an exploded diagram of the injector (attached) that shows the part (between 15 & 16 in diagram), but it doesn't have a number tag to identify it !

Any help appreciated...part #, name of part, etc. If anyone actually knows where I can get 6 of them, well, I'll set up a statue to you in my yard ! :-) Thanks in advance... ~Dan

if you are talking about the plastic parts with a lip at the opening and hole for the pintle...you really don't need them to get the car running. If you must have them they are called pintle caps and can be found on ebay,

Fuel Injector Service Repair Kit Seals Filter Pintle Caps 87 88 RX 7 CSKDE11 | eBay

Also rock auto has injectors complete with the hose attached for 31$ each. Get'em while you can.

Welcome to the forum Dan,

Recommend you don't use the words 'exploded' and 'injector' in the same sentence!

I hope icsamerica's advice gets your VdP up and running.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. Default Thanks icsamerica and Graham...

Thank you both... I've attached a pic of the cracked pintle...it's one piece and made of solid plastic...I just want to make sure the ones on Ebay is the same thing, just in two pieces instead of the one.

p.s. Graham- lol, I could see where that could be a 'hot' potato ;-)

Good!

Seven or eight years ago that part number was "NLA" from Jaguar. Mild panic followed. But Jaguar must've found a new vendor or something, thankfully
