series 2 can some one tell me how set the heater controls so that i get heat to my feet
windscreen demister work fine nice and hot with lots of fan assite but nothing at my feet

When the (correctly functioning) system is in heating mode most of the air is automatically sent to the footwell outlets. There's no driver-controlled input needed or even available.

Quick first test:

With the engine warmed up and the mode control set to "Auto", slowly turn the temp control from one extreme to the other. You should hear a faint whirring from behind the dash.

ok, then it is down to vacuum or Servo. No amplifier to worry qbout.
