How to remove '84 S3 power antenna mast
I am installing the power antenna into a '72 S1 XJ. It has two holes for a stock Jaguar power antenna but they are considerably smaller than those in the S3.
I need to separate the antenna mast from the motor to be able to route the mast cable into the spare tire well. The antenna does power up with 12V applied.

I will try to enlarge the two holes to be able to use the Jag method. It does remove easily out of the S3...
The holes in the S3 are much larger than the ones in the S1, that early power antenna must have been totally different...have no specs on that one.

It worked, I used string to pull the antenna mast through the old smaller hole into the fender.
The antenna fits well and will be totally mounted (the motor and delay relay) tomorrow as I have to move around the fuel system stuff to make room.
