Hi all,
i was able to disconnect the hood of one of the XJ6 series 3 I have, now time to install and need an easy technical way to do it.
Kindly share with me your techniques you use when installing your hood.

My issue is how to refix this disconnected heavy duty hood spring.

I just did this and used a vice-grips and a long screwdriver as a lever. Easy as pie. Ian

 

If you disconnect the hood latch on the left side, that will allow the hood to open a bit more. Then you can slip both of them on just by hand. Then reattach the hood latch again.
