Hi,
Regarding a 78 Series II where does one access the instrument bulb that illuminates the ignition key and headlight switch via an optic cable?
Should the 4 push switches that control fuel tank selection etc in the centre of dash be illuminated at night? How are the bulbs accessed?

Alan,

Fibre optic cell is in the console, under the window switch area. Take care, as the cell itself is plastic and most are brittle now.

The Fuel/etc switches have their own bulb and holder at the rear of each switch.

 

each pair of switches has a tiny bulb, and the Clock has its own bulb.

the wires are Red with white stripe and Black for the switches, and the Clock has the Red with white stripe.

Best to have the bulbs in advance, especially the tiny bulbs for each switch pair.
