Interior color codes and paint codes
Hi All! I am looking at another 1985 series III to buy. I have paid a mechanic to look it over and he says mechanically it seems fine except for the normal things that need attention on these lovely ladies. Things I am happy to pay for. However, the guy I am purchasing it from keep trying to "sell me" on the fact that it has rare interior color and paint codes. I was wondering, if you guys in all your wonderful knowledge could tell me anything I would love your help!
So the outside is black and the interior is red! Ugh.. Love the outside, but I am not fond of the red interior. He says interior color code is CEM and the paint code is PDE.
Can anyone provide any information on those?

Hi The red or "Mulberry" Interior is CEM ---quite rare. I have been looking to change my White car with beige interior to red but have not found one so far in Australia.
Wanna swap??
Cheers Mike

Yup, as mentioned, the red interior is a bit rare.
Of course "rare" and "desirable" are two very different things. Sometimes they exist together. Sometimes not!
Cheers
