Jaguar Training Films
I just came across these on YouTube. I'm sure this is old news to some of you, but may be new news to some of you. Our XJ6's are covered in these clips, as is the XJS. Lot of commonalities. Pardon me if this has been shared already.
Enjoy!!

my old friend and mechanic in Nashville TN had or still has these videos in VHS. when I used to go to him with questions he loaned me the tape in question and told me to LEARN !! He was trained by Jaguar Coventry in the 1980's. I miss him, great mechanic, worked like a surgery doctor, very clean and detailed with gloves and goggles. He stopped working on XJ and decided to work only in the Classics up to the 420.
YouTube is fantastic. Thanks for sharing this Bill. I have found the Service Manual and other written instructions are often hard to follow. Almost like they were written for someone that has done the procedure before and just needs an outline of the various steps. But a video brings it to life plus you can sometimes ask the creator questions in the comment section. Just this week on “Living with a Classic” he has information on adding a modern Air Conditioning system to V12 cars.
I would suggest that if you can’t find a video on your project please consider creating one and posting it on YouTube for the next person. When I changed out all of the woodwork on my XJ6 series III I couldn't find any videos to help. So I created one using a small digital camera and free editing software (Shotcut). Setting up a YouTube channel is no harder than setting up an email account. Heaven knows I’m not the most photogenic or elegant speaker but I have found posting videos to be very rewarding. My video on Dashboard removal has been viewed over 34,000 times. I have gotten many kind comments telling me that they found it helpful and that it gave them the confidence to do it themselves. If I can help someone in our hobby then that is a very good day for me.
