Default Lifting a Daimler Double Six

Hello,

I'm new to the forum. I live in France and am the proud owner of a 1989 Daimler Double Six. I need to put it onto my mid-rise hydraulic scissor lift. Can the weight of the car be safely held by the four corner jacking / spigot points?

Thanks for your help,

Frenchman.

Yes as long as you don't take the rear subframe out. Ask me how I know and why I sold my scissor lift after owning for a brief time.

The nose weight of the v12 cars is substantial.
Now I use 4 tall jack stands under each suspension point. I setup the jacks under each front lower control arm and rear lower control arm. This way the car is far more stable and the center is more accessible.

Hello icsamerica,

Thanks for your quite reply. The substantial nose weight of the car was indeed my main concern. Rated at 3,5t the hydraulic lift is easily up to the job, but I didn't want to put any undue stress on the chassis. I hope that your car didn't drop forward on you?

Frenchman.
