Default Lighting Latching Relay

Yes, the blocky fellow in the front of the engine bay, Mr Hella. Now down one side three pins and that high beams, low beams and blue blue power on the centre pin. off to the other side two pins, one being blue with a black stripe and the other well it's brown in my case but they do a latching and switching etc. I know this has been spoken of before but there is also another wire (a blue and white guy) who talks to the dash HIGHBEAMS lamp. However he seems to get juice whether he is entitled to it or not. I know i have been diodes used here to maybe stem the issue of power leaking to the lamp or something but wondering about some instructions on this task.

yep, that guy, and he's naked.

Generic diode, should measure continuity in one direction, open in reverse direction. If continuity in both directions replace with a 5a carbon diode.
