Looking for 7 inch headlight bezels

7' headlight
You will find it very difficult to locate a 7" headlight set-up here in the good old USA. Try spending some time on E-Bay UK. The larger headlights are standard over there, so more plentiful. I found 7" buckets and retaining rings from an old Triumph and then found the bezels on the UK sight. Andrew Jaguar used to carry the kits, but for some reason he currently is out of them, but it's wise to follow his website for when he offers them again. The headlamps themselves can be found at any auto parts store or you can opt to use halogen bulb upgrades.
Happy hunting !

You probably know this, but if you establish a saved search on 7" bezels, you will automatically get notifications when they come up for sale. I have vented on my car and also have a non-vented pair of 7" bezels. They have the usual pitting , but beat the heck out of nothing.

I have a pair of slightly grungy 5 1/4 " bezels. I read f a guy that ground out the inner opening to fit. I looked the other day and it seems feasible. It is 'pot metal".
And ruining these would b a slight I any loss.
Yours free except for the postage if in continental USA, of course!

I have seen a few references to opening up the 7" bezels. I had considered trying it, but came across the large ones, so erased it from my brain. A dremel tool with cutting discs should work pretty good on the metal. It's a shame U.S. mandated the 5" lights.. and now say 7" are just fine. Gotta love it ! Supply and demand have really jacked up the prices on the large bezels. I absorbed high shipping from the UK on both sets - vented/non-vented. I would have to get about $75.00 for the non-vented, just to break even. Really nice ones are bought by the rich, who can drop the big bucks. The 5" are cheap enough to experiment with. I have a 93 Allante and parts are wicked expensive, but the older cars are much more appealing to me than the new cars - remove the emblems and they all blend together. I think it's time to shut up. Post when you create/ buy the large bezels.

I don't want to reopen the two vs four debate. I thought it was a styling thing. it began in about 1958. Some stylist thought four small lamps were slicker than the traditional two larger ones. So, DOT blessing was sought and granted. Oh,oh, gotta stay with the crowd. So the other makers did. Even big Peterbilt trucks and the like. some smaller and square and some round. Some nicely integrated and some podlike. Jaguar apparently decided it's USA cars should match and integrated the outboard unit rather nicely.
I've never decided if I liked the 7" and 5 14" as designed or the four 5 1/4 for the US market better. Mine remains as it came to the USA, four smaller lamps. heck, I am please when they obey the commands. At times, odd combinations have come up!!!
However, whatever they are, they are much better than the plastic things on my Jeep. Polish helped, but still much weaker than the good glass units in my Jaguar.
