My phone is SO dumb, even a technical college won't help it.

It's on my family's plan, and my brother asked recently if I would like to have a smart phone, but those have broadband charges whether you use it or not, and that doesn't even count the cost of the phone in the first place.

And if you go over whatever limit they set, the sky's the limit for overage charges. I have too many other things I'd rather do with that money than to fork it over to a wireless company; buy gas for my Jaguar for one thing.

What,don't tell me phones can take photos now? Mine was one of those cool small new type in 2003 and still using it on it's original $10 month plan. Now they're getting big and clumsy again.
Nothing smart about a phone too big for your pocket.

You two make me feel good about my phone. I thought mine was old, it is an Android, bought in 2010. I've thought of upgrading it, but I am able to tether it to my laptop and other computers without being charged $ for it. Tried that with my wife's similar new phone, no dice. Mine still does pretty much anything that a new phone does, so why bother? Tethering is far more important to me than any minor new improvements that have come along since.
