James,
An '89 XJ6 is what is more commonly known as an XJ40, confusing, YES, you will get used to it.
Hopefully one of our ever vigilant Mods will swap this to the XJ40 area, so responses will be a tad more forthcoming.
I am not familiar with the XJ40 dash lights, never had to go in there on ours. I would take the globe to any "decent" parts mob, Pepboys, or similar, and place it on the counter and say "I want xxx of these", and dont mention Jaguar. I reckon these are the same as many other cars. The X300 went different, and are a pain to find.

To explain the puzzle.........
Series 3 XJ12s carried on in production until 1992, because the XJ40 model engine compartment was too small.
It was finally modified to take it and XJ40 models then became available with the V12, but as a 6 litre rather than 5.3 litres. Series 3 six-cylinder with the XK engine stopped in 1986, when the XJ40 with the AJ6 aluminium-block engine took over. Funny thing is after all that work to fit the V12 into the XJ40, very few were sold.
