Need help cold start issue
Hi i have a 88 3.6 jaguar xj6 sovereign and when i start it from cold it drops to 500rpm sometimes 300rpm and shudders for about 10/15secs then sits at 1000rpm is this normal? And if not what would be causing this? Thanks

Your 1988 3.6 is known as an XJ40, with a AJ6 engine.
The correct Tech Section is the XJ40 area.
A quickie repost in there will get the answers you need.
ALSO, where you are located in the world will also be needed, as different markets had different stuff.
